Xavier Institute of Engineering is prestigious engineering college. The college was founded by Society of Jesus in the year 2005. The institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and approved by AICTE. The college offers Bachelor, Master and Research courses in Engineering The institute has been granted Minority Status by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institution and by the Government of Maharashtra The admissions are done on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET). Out of the total seats 50% are reserved for minority Roman Catholics, 20% are reserved for Institute Level Management Quota and the rest of the seats are offered to general students on the basis of CET rankings. It also reserves one student per branch for Kashmiri migrants who have left their homes due to the Kashmir conflict The institute facilitates well equipped lab, canteen, huge workshops etc.
