Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (TSRMMCHRC) is a part of SRM Group of Educational Institutions that came into existence in 2008. The institute was the long felt dream of Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar, the Founder of SRM Group. His vision came to reality when TSRMMCHRC launched healthcare services from Irungalur village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. Today, Trichy SRM Medical College is a multi-specialty centre and it boasts of a 720-bed hospital that caters healthcare services to patients from neighbouring villages and Trichy city. It is an MCI recognised institute and offers MBBS and MD programme, affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. In recognition of the phenomenal growth of the medical institute, TSRMMCHRC was placed among the top 10 emerging medical colleges in India by the India Today-Nielson survey 2016.
