Sree Abirami college of physiotherapy was established in the year 2018 by the two eminent doctors Dr. P. Periyaswamy, Dr. M. Kunthavidevi aim to provide quality learning in all spheres of higher education and develop skilled professionals for various sectors of health care in particular to the rural, semi urban and urban areas of the nation in the view to stretch our curable hands to restore the lives of dependent ones and fulfil the societal needs in the global context. Physiotherapy is a health care profession primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential.In addition to clinical practice, other activities encompassed in the physical therapy include research, education and administration. Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to very oldest, who have medical problems or other health related conditions, illness or injuries that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities. Physiotherapists use an individual history and physical examination to arrive at a diagnosis and establish a management plan. Physiotherapy intervention has many specialists including orthopaedic, neurology, cardiopulmonary, sports rehabilitation, pediatric, geriatrics, head injuries, post operative rehabilitation and wound care. Physiotherapist practice in many setting such as outpatient clinics, health and wellness clinics, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, multispeciality clinics or hospitals, community or home based rehabilitation, education, research centers and sports training facilities
