Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC), Mumbai is an engineering college in Mumbai affiliated under University Of Mumbai. Mahavir Education Trust was established in the year 1983 with the main purpose of promoting technical education. With the help of generous donations of two main donors viz., Shrimati Laxmiben Karamshibhai Shah Trust and Shah Lalji Velji Anchorwala, a polytechnic under the name of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Polytechnic was started in the year 1983. The trust was lucky to have the inauguration of the Polytechnic done at the hands of Shri Vasantdada Patil, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra State. Further, it was felt that University level education was also the need of the society. Hence Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College was started in 1985. The college holds the distinction of being awarded with A Grade by Directorate of Technical Education DTE, Maharashtra. The college is ISO 9001:2000 certified institutions and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
