Rajarambapu Institute of Technology was established in 1983. It is an autonomous institute formerly known as College of Engineering, Sakharale. The main goal of RIT is to attain the status of academic autonomy and deemed university within next five years. Vision of the Institute is “Transformation of young minds into competent engineers to face global challenges” Mission of the Institute is” To offer the state of art technical education programmes to shape promising engineers with requisite skills, knowledge, research aptitude, values and ethics ensuring rewarding careers” 30% seats are reserved in every branch of engineering except Mining Engineering. Institute is located near Islampur, 7 kms away from Peth Naka off Pune -Bangalore highway Most of the programmes are accredited and reaccredited by NBA, AICTE, New Delhi
