College of Engineering Attingal, established by Institute of Human Resources Development(IHRD), an autonomous educational institution a Government of Kerala undertaking, is a premier technical institute having a well-flourished environment for molding professionals. IHRD is dedicated to the scientific advancement, technological progress and economic growth of the country through human resource development. IHRD is a major academic hub having more than 92 institutions including 9 Engineering colleges. College of Engineering Attingal started functioning in the academic year 2004-2005 with two-degree courses offered in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering and later Electrical and Electronics Engineering was approved. The Institution has the approval of All India Council for Technical Education and is an affiliated institution under APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University (KTU). The college has not applied for accreditation by NBA.
